7 Bays Scaffolding Chosen to Support Iconic Newquay Mural Project

7 Bays Scaffolding was recently appointed as the chosen scaffolding company for one of the most exciting and creative projects Newquay has seen in years—a huge mural that aims to attract more visitors to the town and enhance its vibrant coastal atmosphere. The mural on the junction of Fore Street and Sydney Road by artist Elle Koziupa (who is just 20 years old!) features a traditional fisherman working on a net by candlelight. Taking inspiration from photographs at Newquay Museum and Archive, the painting covers the entire end of the wall of a house and is painted in the style of the ‘old masters’.

Why 7 Bays Scaffolding?

Our reputation for reliability, safety, and precision made 7 Bays Scaffolding the top choice for this landmark project. Working closely with local artists and town planners, we were tasked with providing scaffolding that would not only be structurally sound but also adaptable to the artists’ needs as they bring their creative vision to life. Given the mural’s scale and intricate details, it was essential to have scaffolding that allowed easy access to all areas while ensuring the safety of everyone involved.

Supporting Local Art and Tourism

This mural isn’t just a piece of art; it’s a statement about Newquay’s commitment to its community, heritage, and future. As a scaffolding company rooted in Cornwall, we’re proud to contribute to a project that reflects the town’s rich heritage and attracts new visitors. The mural is expected to be a major draw for tourists and residents alike, creating a vibrant focal point for Newquay and showcasing its creative side.
